Such questions should be Closed with the custom Off-topic reason: Questions on applications or application features that are no longer available are off-topic for Web Applications as no one will ever be able to make use of the answers again. In some cases, such as Hotmail, there is a clear successor app. The tag for the retired app should be made a synonym ...

All that remains is a leftover migration stub from a rejected migration (that a moderator needs to delete) and a migration stub that will be deleted by the Roomba in a few days.

Since there seems to be nothing but agreement, I've removed that tag from all of the questions where it existed (and cleaned up other things while I was there). Now we just need to wait for the Roomba to come through and remove the tag altogether.

I have cleaned up the tagging & photo-tagging tags. To assist with the cleanup I needed to create some new tags: google-plus-tags instagram-tags twitter-tags letterboxd-tags I have also created a synonym to map all facebook-tagging to facebook-tags EDIT: The tags tag has now been cleaned up too.

Frankly, I don't think we need any. Questions about social networking or social networks in general is almost certainly going to be too broad. Social medcia is even broader. Otherwise, you need to add a separate tag to identify the social network you're asking about, making the social network(s|ing) tag superfluous. If one of them survive, the others should ...

I've picked through the remaining 9 questions, and it seems like they are largely in the realm of esoteric sites. I'm inclined to leave them here, since they are about legitimate web apps, just not ones with a large enough following to justify a tag.

WIP (Work in progress) javascript, at least, has some immediate clue that a developer is in the wrong place and, since they're adding the tag to the question, is pretty much in their face. Other tags: api What other tags, due to their lack of usage guidance, seem to be implicitly signaling that development/programming questions are on-topic? ...

A few years back a portion of the Webapps community said that Stack Exchange is a web application and as such should be treated as one in the context of this site, not be given special treatment. Robert Cartaino from SE Staff stated that these questions should be moved to meta.stackoverflow.com (this was before meta.stackexchange.com introduction) Honestly,...

Semi-abusing this as an update/call-to-action, tl;dr: burninate filter, delete now, clean up a single question then also url. filter Virtually nobody can be an expert on filter-ing in the abstract. Are we filtering results from amazon to zapier? The process is bound to be radically different (or impossible, gee-thanks Amazon). There are currently 70 ...

There are no more questions with posting. The tag will be completely gone in 24 hours when the system cleans it up.

The only Qs at present tagged stack-exchange are Closed (4 in number). It seems conceivable that there may be a requirement for the tag in the future but I think not at the moment. As a courtesy to our users who are also users of other SE sites we should aim to be consistent with other sites in the family, where practical. Although for WA SE might be ...

Neither tag is on any questions now. We just need to wait for the Roomba to come by and clean them up.

I tend to agree with Sally. For the questions with both email and address, it looks like it was meant to be email-address, but that tag doesn't do much to better categorize the questions. At least one of those is really about a Google Account, and so should be tagged with google-account. The others don't seem to need address at all. All of the questions ...

Here's how I think we should fix this. Get a good excerpt and tag wiki for g-suite Make google-apps and google-apps-for-work synonyms of g-suite Make google-apps-email a synonym of gmail (as suggested in this question) Google Apps Sync is now G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook. Therefore, rename google-apps-sync to g-suite-sync. (I would suggest g-suite-...
